Coronavirus: Global deaths reach 1,054,537

The global death toll from the novel coronavirus infection reached 1,054,537 as of Thursday morning, according to the data provided by the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 36,068,991 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 7,919,158 infected patients 7,851,742 are in mild condition, which is 99 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 67,416 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only one.

So far, 25,127,271 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 35 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Wednesday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 5,440.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 3,73,151 as 1,520 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
