Global Covid-19 deaths reach 1,117,430

The global deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 1,117,430 as of Wednesday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 40,333,146 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 9,163,555 infected patients 9,090,784 are in mild condition, which is 99 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 72,771 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only one.

So far, 27,620,681 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 21 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Monday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 5681.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged 390,206 as 1,637 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
