World Covid-19 deaths reach 1,123,824

The global deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 1,123,824 as of Wednesday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 40,711,175 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 9,285,175 infected patients 9,208,119 are in mild condition, which is 99 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 77,056 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only one.

So far, 27,847,006 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 18 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Tuesday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 5,699.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 391,586 as 1,380 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
