SELISE Bangladesh gets BASIS Outsourcing Award 2020

SELISE Bangladesh, a subsidiary of the Swiss-based multinational technology services company, has received BASIS Outsourcing Award 2020 in the “Export Excellence Category” for its outstanding performance in the field of outsourcing software and the IT-enabled services (ITES) in Bangladesh.

The company ranked among top 10 exporters for the fiscal year 2018-19.

Salman F Rahman, private sector advisor to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, handed over the award to SELISE Chief Executive Officer Julian Weber at a ceremony held recently at a hotel in Dhaka, said a press release on Thursday.

Addressing the programme, Salman acknowledged all the award-winning companies’ contributions to the government’s target of reaching $5 billion export earnings in the technology industry by 2025.

The function was also attended by State Minister for ICT Division, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, and AKM Rahmatullah, the chairman of the parliamentary standing committee on Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology.

SELISE has been operating in Bangladesh since 2011, employing over 250 people. It continues to grow and expand in the Bangladeshi market as well, thus contributing to flourishing one of the fastest-growing economies in Asia.

The company strategies, develops and maintains digital platforms for leading businesses across the world, in sectors of insurance, retail, financial services, logistics, consumer goods, sports, and telecommunication.
