Coronavirus: Global death toll reaches 1,152,990

The global tally of deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 1,152,990 as of Monday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 42,926,013 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 10,281,960 infected patients 10,204,165 are in mild condition, which is 99 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 77,795 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only one.

So far, 28,898,323 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 23 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Sunday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 5,803.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 398,815 as 1,308 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
