World Covid-19 deaths reach 1,172,745

The global deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 1,172,745 as of Thursday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 44,393,629 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 10,845,306 infected patients 10,764,122 are in mild condition, which is 99 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 81,184 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only one.

So far, 29,985,093 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 23 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Wednesday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 5,861.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 4,03,079 as 1,493 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
