Covid-19: Global death toll reaches 1,282,046

The global deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 1,282,046 as of Thursday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 52,041,441 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 14,465,731 infected patients 14,370,716 are in mild condition, which is 99 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 95,015 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only one.

So far, 33,869,373 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 19 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Wednesday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 6,127.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 425,353 as 1,733 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
