Coronavirus: Global deaths reach 1,316,502

The global death count from the novel coronavirus infection reached 1,316,502 as of Monday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University's data.

Moreover, 54,326,211 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 15,354,249 infected patients 15,255,424 are in mild condition, which is 99 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 98,825 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only one.

So far, 34,921,371 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 21 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Sunday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 6,194.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 432,333 as 1,837 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
