Covid-19: Global death toll reaches 1,431,513

The global tally of deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 1,418,640 as of Friday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 60,930,094 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 17,474,157 infected patients 17,369,145 are in mild condition, which is 99.4 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 105,012 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only 0.6.

So far, 39,027,684 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 37 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Thursday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 6,524.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 456,438 as 2,292 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
