World coronavirus death toll reaches 1,489,897

Global deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 1,489,897 as of Thursday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 64,367,697 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 18,401,033 infected patients 18,294,578 are in mild condition, which is 99 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 106,455 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only one.

So far, 41,385,624 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 38 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Wednesday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 6,713.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 469,423 as 2,198 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
