BSC earns net profit of Tk 41.47cr in last fiscal

Bangladesh Shipping Corporation (BSC), the lone state-owned oceangoing vessels management authority has earned a net profit of 41.47 crore taka in 2019-20 fiscal which is 24 crore taka more than previous fiscal (2018-19) year.

Following the joining of six new vessels, the organization’s net income increased, the board members of BSC opined.

This was revealed at a press conference today at the BSC Bhaban on the occasion of 43rd Annual General Meeting of BSC to be held on Dec 23 in the port city.

Commodore Suman Mahmud Sabbir, Managing Director of BSC read out the written statement at the press conference.

The board meeting will be held on December 23, where the audit report for 2019-20 will be approved and appointment of Audit firm for the current year will be given.

The AGM will finalize the dividend among shareholders and the profit bonus for the officials and workers of the corporation.
