DCCI president Rizwan Rahman has announced a post pandemic recovery plan titled,’ Road to Recovery’ which aims to strengthen the digital and local economy.
He described it as a 3 phase revival plan-survive, revive and thrive.
Rizwan said, “In order to save our private sector and economy, we have come with a plan: Road to Recovery. We plan on increasing investment, taking actions for international business development, business friendly tax implementation, more investment in the CM & SME sectors, attracting foreign investments and so on.”
He also explained his future plans for DCCI so that Bangladesh can achieve the goal of being a developed nation by 2041
“We will also give importance towards vocational education, industrial academia linkage and industry infrastructure development,” continued the newly elected president.
He said all these at the 59th Annual General Meeting of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) which was held on 29 Dec, 2020.
The meeting was attended by the board of directors, former presidents and all the current members of DCCI as well as about 90 participants who joined online. The event took place at the DCCI Auditorium following Covid-19 safety protocols.
The president thanked all the members of DCCI and expected their full support in the future.
“I expect all of the members and former presidents to help us in this venture,” Rizwan added.
