World coronavirus death toll reaches 1,924,331

Global deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 1,924,331 as of Sunday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 89,544,802 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 23,678,877 infected patients 23,570,360 are in mild condition, which is 99.5 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 108,517 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only 0.5.

So far, 49,683,998 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 22 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Saturday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 7756.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 5,21,382 as 692 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
