Global covid-19 death toll reaches 1,959,485

Global deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 1,959,485 as of Wednesday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 91,539,016 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 24,212,094 infected patients 24,102,002 are in mild condition, which is 99.5 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 110,092 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only 0.5.

So far, 50,570,532 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 16 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Tuesday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 7,819.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 524,020 as 718 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
