Global covid-19 death toll reaches 2,006,611

Global deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 2,006,611 as of Saturday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 93,768,732 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 24,943,189 infected patients 24,831,701 are in mild condition, which is 99.5 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 111,483 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only 0.5.

So far, 51,639,538 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 13 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Friday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 7,862.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 526,485 as 762 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
