World coronavirus death toll reaches 2,138,251

Global deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 2,138,251 as of Tuesday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 99,660,483 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 25,840,393 infected patients 25,731,842 are in mild condition, which is 99.6 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 110,400 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only 0.4.

So far, 54,961,829 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 18 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Monday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 8,041.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 532,401 as 602 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
