4 Bangladeshis injured in Toronto’s Regent Park shooting

Four Bangladeshi nationals were injured in a triple shooting that took place in the Regent Park neighbourhood of Toronto, Canada on Tuesday night.

According to a Facebook post of Debobrata Dey Tomal, president of Jalalabad Association in Toronto, the injured were identified as—Anai Mia, Mumin Mia, Sultan Mia and Sattar Mia.

Toronto police tweeted at 11:43pm (local time) that its officers were responding to a shooting at Dundas Street East and Regent Park Boulevard, near River Street, reports toronto.com.

Police said four people had been in a running vehicle when it was hit with gunfire.

One of the injured had life-threatening injuries after being shot multiple times.

All of them were taken to the hospital.

Police were reportedly looking for two male suspects driving a grey 2014 Toyota RAV4 SUV.

Investigators said they had secured video footage from the scene as well as some witnesses.
