Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, chairman and chief executive officer of Pran-RFL Group, and Eleash Mridha, managing director of Pran, informed the Bida chairman about the different sides of the production process.
Sylvan is the sister concern of Pran-RFL Group. The company is manufacturing single-phase and three-phase distribution transformers beside power transformers and supplying them to government and non-government organisations.
Sirazul said, “I am very happy to see that various kinds of transformers are now being manufactured in Bangladesh following standard technology. This is a good example that Bangladesh is not import-dependent now. This kind of activities will play an important role in ensuring 100% electrification.”
Mostafizur Rahman Khan, chief operating officer of Sylvan, said various power distribution panels – including transformers for making electric sub-stations – are being manufactured in the factory.
“We are manufacturing transformers using standard raw materials, modern machine, skilled manpower and modern testing technology. Around 100 people will get a job in the new factory,” Mostafizur said.
“Sylvan Technologies is manufacturing the products following the standard of the International Electrotechnical Commission. Customers will be able to purchase any sub-station items through the company’s customer care.”
