Coronavirus: Global deaths reach 2,398,866

Global deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 2,398,866 as of Monday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 108,782,607 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 25,355,132 infected patients 25,408,088 are in mild condition, which is 99.6 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 98,496 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only 0.4.

So far, 61,037,116 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, eight more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Sunday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 8,274.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 540,592 as 326 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
