Coronavirus: Global deaths reach 2,407,041

Global deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 2,407,041 as of Tuesday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 109,136,051 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 22,894,792 infected patients 22,949,429 are in mild condition, which is 99.6 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 97,705 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only 0.4.

So far, 61,309,264 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 11 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Monday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 8,285.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 541,038 as 446 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
