World coronavirus death toll reaches 2,439,834

Global deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 2,439,834 as of Friday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 110,270,288 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 22,605,131 infected patients 22,511,433 are in mild condition, which is 99.6 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 95,519 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only 0.4.

So far, 62,077,509 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 15 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Thursday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 8,329.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 542,268 as 391 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
