World coronavirus death toll reaches 2,459,326

Global deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 2,459,326 as of Sunday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 111,042,829 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 22,303,168 infected patients 22,266,115 are in mild condition, which is 99.6 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 93,990 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only 0.4.

So far, 62,590,415 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, five more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Saturday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 8,342.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 543,024 as 350 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
