Global coronavirus death toll reaches 2,465,502

Global deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 2,465,502 as of Monday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 111,333,959 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 22,156,972 infected patients 22,067,373 are in mild condition, which is 99.6 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 93,924 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only 0.4.

So far, 62,802,216 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, seven more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Sunday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 8,349.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 543,351 as 327 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
