Global coronavirus death toll reaches 2,537,449

Global deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 2,537,449 as of Tuesday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 114,414,597 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 21,741,433 infected patients 21,651,247 are in mild condition, which is 99.6 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 90,186 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only 0.4.

So far, 64,601,431 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, eight more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Sunday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 8,416.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 546,801 as 585 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
