Global coronavirus death toll reaches 2,567,967

Global deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 2,567,967 as of Friday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 115,578,77 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 21,748,92 infected patients 21,659,179 are in mild condition, which is 99.6 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 89,747 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only 0.4.

So far, 65,332,965 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, seven more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Thursday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 8,435.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 548,549 as 619 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
