World coronavirus deaths reach 2,653,181

The global death toll from the novel coronavirus infection reached 2,653,181 as of Monday morning, according to the compiled data by the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 119,837,380 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 20,786,241 infected patients 20,698,416 are in mild condition, which is 99.6 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 87,825 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only 0.4.

So far, 67,862,359 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 18 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Sunday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 8,545.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 557,395 as 1,159 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
