World Covid-19 cases top 120mn

The global death toll from the novel coronavirus infection reached 2,660,076 as of Tuesday morning, according to the compiled data by the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 120,191,417 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 20,682,852 infected patients 20,594,703 are in mild condition, which is 99.6 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 88,149 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only 0.4.

So far, 68,157,380 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 26 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Monday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 8,571.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 559,168 as 1,773 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
