Global coronavirus death toll reaches 2,802,066

The global death count from the novel coronavirus infection reached 2,802,066 as of Wednesday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 128,144,389 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 22,057,560 infected patients 21,961,715 are in mild condition, which is 99.6 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 95,845 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only 0.4.

So far, 72,670,184 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 45 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Tuesday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 8994.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 6,05,937 as 5,042 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
