Global Covid caseload exceeds 129mn

The global death count from the novel coronavirus infection reached 2,825,940 as of Friday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 129,465,881 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 22,434,053 infected patients 22,337,330 are in mild condition, which is 99.6 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 96,723 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only 0.4.

So far, 73,373,907 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 59 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Thursday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 9,105.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 617,764 as 6,469 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
