Global COVID cases surpass 130 million

According to the latest data released by Johns Hopkins University (JHU), the total case count reached 130,114,348 while the death toll from the deadly virus mounted to 2,836,446 on Saturday morning.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 22,655,949 infected patients 22,558,335 are in mild condition, which is 99.6 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 97,614 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only 0.4.

So far, 105,300,856 people have recovered.

Condition in Bangladesh

In Bangladesh, 50 more COVID-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Friday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 9,155.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 6,24,594 as 6,830 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
