NYPD celebrates first Bangladeshi female sergeant

The New York Police Department celebrated twenty one year old Nessa for becoming the "first Bangladeshi female sergeant".

Terming it a trialblazing achievement for the NYPD in its facebook page wrote- 'At the age of 21, she immigrated to the US from Bangladesh and juggled 2 jobs while studying English. She eventually joined the NYPD and became the first Bangladeshi female Sergeant.'
