21 lakh overseas jobs to be created in 3 yrs

Finance minister AHM Mustafa Kamal has said that the government has fixed a target of creating 21 lakh overseas employment opportunities in next three years.

This includes sending 1,000 workers abroad from each upazila, said the minister.

Kamal made the disclosure while placing his Tk 6,03,681 crore budget proposal for 2021-22 fiscal year at the national parliament on Thursday.

To implement the target, technical training facilities have been set up across the country, the minister said.

He said that seven new labour welfare wings have been set up abroad, and a detailed plan has been adopted by the government to provide skill development training facilities to oversees job seekers.
