The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at began its 55th Annual Jalsa in the UK on Friday following a one-year hiatus due to the Covid situation.
Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the Caliph of the Worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat, inaugurated the jalsa by hoisting the flag of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at and saying prayers. There were also the national flags of more than two hundred countries of the world, said a press release.
During the three days of the jalsa, various speakers including the Ahmadiyya Caliph will deliver many speeches.
At the end of his inaugural address, the Ahmadiyya Caliph asked all Ahmadis to pray for world peace, brotherhood in the Muslim world and for everyone to overcome the epidemic.
Mirza Masroor will deliver the concluding speech and lead concluding prayers on August 8.
Due to the Covid situation, the number of attendees at the jalsa remained limited to only locals and designated people. But virtually Ahmadis from across the globe are joining jalsa events.
The three-day conference is being broadcasted live on Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at's official tv channel and also on Facebook, YouTube, including www.mta.tv/live.
