Non-performing loans (NPLs) in the country’s banking sector has crossed Tk1 lakh crore after 27 months at the end of September of this year despite policy support of the central bank.
At the end of September, this year, NPLs stood at Tk101150.30 crore, which was 8.18 percent of the total outstanding loans, as per the latest data from the Bangladesh Bank.
Bad loans rose at Tk1945crore in the three months till September as the NPLs was at Tk99205.14 crore at the end of June this year.
