Danish Foods sued for Tk 3.46cr VAT evasion

Danish Foods Ltd, one of the leading food and marketing company Bangladesh, has dodged Tk 3.46 crore value-added tax (VAT) from the government, unveiled a probe report prepared by the VAT Audit, Intelligence and Investigation Directorate.

A case has been filed against the company over the matter. 

Danish Foods Ltd is a company operated under the Partex Group which is located at Shanta Western Tower in Tejgaon area, said a press release.

A team led by Assistant Director Alamgir Husen of VAT intelligence directorate operated the investigation that found evidence of VAT irregularities conducted by the Danish Foods.
