Bangladesh earned $4.04 billion through export in month of November while it was $3.57 billion on November 2020, thanks to satisfactory performance in all sectors except jute.

According to latest data from the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), it was 31.25 per cent higher compared to the same time of the previous year. Though, it was around $686 million less than export performance of October this year.

In October 2021, Bangladesh posted a robust $4.73 billion in export earnings, the highest ever recorded in a single month.

In July-November, Bangladesh earned $19.79 billion with 24.29 per cent growth compared to the same period in previous fiscal year. The country also saw a 13.27 per cent growth compared to export target.

For July-November, the Ministry of Commerce fixed $17.47 billion target while in July-November 2020, Bangladesh exported $15.92 billion.

Thanks to a good performance by the readymade garments sector, Bangladesh achieved above $4 billion export earnings in two consecutive months.
In November, RMG sector earned $3.23 billion which is around 80 per cent from total export earnings.

In July-November, the apparel sector earned $15.85 billion with 22.97 per cent growth which was $14.11 billion in July-November, 2020.

In this time, knitwear sector showed a 25.91 per cent growth to $8.98 billion and woven sector showed a 19.32 per cent growth to $6.87 billion. The values were $7.83 billion and $6.27 billion respectively in the same period of last year.
