JNU student body found in Hatirjheel

Police have recovered the body of a Jagannath University student from a building in Dhaka's Hatirjheel area.

Md Mehebullah was staying at his cousin's flat on the fifth floor of the building. His body was found hanging from the ceiling on Tuesday night.

"On information, we recovered the body and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy," Hatirjheel police station Officer-in-Charge Abdur Rashid told The Business Post on Wednesday.

Mehebullah came to Dhaka a week ago after he got admitted to JNU. The reason behind his death is not known yet. Details will be found after receiving the autopsy report, he added.
