Kolkata Police on Monday summoned suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma for questioning in connection with her controversial remarks on Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH), reports The Economic Times.

She has been asked to appear at Narkeldanga Police Station on June 20 to record her statement, an official said.

Nupur has been sent a notice under Section 41A of the Indian Penal Code.

Recently, suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma made an offensive remark on a television channel about Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH). The derogatory comment flamed violation in different parts of several states of India.
