The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the biggest religious festivals of Muslims, on Monday as the Shawwal crescent moon was not sighted in the kingdom on Saturday.

Sunday will be the last day of Ramadan, according to the authorities, reports English daily Khaleej Times.

Eid-ul-Fitr is marked on the first day of Shawwal, the month that comes after Ramadan in the Hijri calendar.

Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Egypt, Turkey, Iraq will also celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on Monday.
