Putin currently has no plans to visit Russia’s military operation zone in Ukraine or the injured soldiers getting treatment in the hospitals, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told the media on Thursday.

"No plans for any such trips," he said in reply to a corresponding question. He added that visits to hospitals for meeting recovering soldiers were not on Putin’s schedule, reports TASS.

"All will take place in due time," Peskov said.

He disagreed with a remark by one of the journalists that the current situation could be likened to World War II, when in 1943 Joseph Stalin visited the frontline.

"After all, these are different situations," Peskov said.

Putin on February 24 launched a special operation in Ukraine in response to a request for help from the leaders of the Donbass republics. He stressed that Moscow had no plans for occupying Ukrainian territories, its sole aim is to demilitarise and denazify Ukraine.
