The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has mandated a 10-day delay between the issue of two Umrah permits for pilgrims of all ages.

At the end of the specified 10-day time after doing the first Umrah, a pilgrim who got an Umrah permission can arrange an appointment for a second Umrah through the Eatmarna or Tawakkalna applications.

In response to a question from a worshiper, the ministry clarified the situation on its Twitter account, reports Saudi Gazette.

Following a spike in coronavirus cases, particularly the new mutated Omicron variant, the ministry attributed this restriction to the recent re-imposition of coronavirus health precautionary measures and preventive protocols such as wearing masks and maintaining social distance at the Two Holy Mosques.
