Maritime ports of Bangladesh have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal number 3 as the well-marked low formed over northwest Bay of Odisha-West Bengal coast lies over northwest Bay of Odisha coast and the adjacent area is likely to intensify further.
Under its influence, squally weather may affect the Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra ports, North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh, said a special bulletin of the Met office.

All fishing boats and trawlers over north Bay have been advised to remain close to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice.
