Well-known domestic e-commerce marketplace JaChai.com Limited recently started mutual services with Ekshop, country’s first assistant rural e-commerce architecture platform, to realize the dream of building a smart Bangladesh.

Information Technology Division under the leadership of aspire to innovate (a2i) programme, initiated the collaboration on Monday, stated a press release.

Earlier, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the IT division and E-commerce company Jachai Dot Com Limited and Ekshop at the IT department on October 27 in 2022 in this regard.

Joint Project Director of a2i Nahid Sultan Mallik, e-commerce head of a2i Reginald Haque Jami and JaChai.com Limited’s upper-level officials, including Chairman Abdul Aziz, were present on behalf of the organisations at the MoU signing ceremony.

Through the agreement, Jachai.com Limited will establish itself as a powerful domestic e-commerce company with payment, logistics, promotional tools, technical assistance, and advisory services for online shops.

Additionally, through resource and training exchange between Jachai.com and online shops, both companies will be able to improve their customer service and contribute to the development of rural and suburban markets.

Moreover, millions of small entrepreneurs and producers from rural, suburban, and urban areas can use the Jachai.com marketplace to enhance their businesses by paying sales commissions, thereby contributing to the growth of their businesses.

Jachai.com Chairman Abdul Aziz stated that the company will bring various products and services to the market, bringing together Jachai and Ekshop to facilitate the daily lives of citizens in the country.

“From now on, Jachai and Ekshop will work together to increase the income of local small entrepreneurs and promote nationwide digital commerce services, which will assist in the creation of a smart Bangladesh by 2041”, he said.
