UITS hosts int’l webinar on research publication

The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) successfully conducted an international webinar titled "From Research to Publication: A Road Ahead" at the conference room of the university on Monday.

This collaborative effort with INTI International University, Malaysia, which ranked 516 in QS World University Rankings 2025, focused on empowering researchers with the tools and strategies needed to navigate the evolving world of academic publishing.

Professor Ir Dr Malathy Batumalay, from INTI International University and conference chair of ICIT 2024, delivered the keynote address at the webinar.

The event boasted a high level of participation, with all the faculty members of the Department of English, Social Work, LAW, Business Studies, CSE, IT, EEE, ECE, Pharmacy and Civil Engineering participating in the interactive session.

UITS Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Abu Hashan Bhuiyan graced the event as the chief guest and delivered a valuable address.

Treasurer Professor Dr Siraj Uddin Ahmed, dean of faculties, heads of departments, and over 100 faculty members actively participated in the session. Engineer Md Safaet Hossain, director of IQAC at UITS, moderated the insightful presentations and discussions.

This interactive session addressed the ever-changing world of academic publishing, empowering researchers with valuable tools and strategies for successful publication. Leading experts in the field provided insightful presentations on crafting compelling manuscripts, navigating the often-daunting peer-review process, and exploring the exciting possibilities of open-access publishing.

Attendees actively engaged with the presenters, asking insightful questions and sharing their own experiences. The positive response from the international audience highlighted the importance of equipping researchers with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively share their ground-breaking work.

The release added that the international webinar with INTI International University, Malaysia has left an indelible mark on the institution and the officials of UITs eagerly anticipate future collaborations.
