The local currency depreciated by 90 paisa against the USD further on Thursday, thanks to the higher demand of the American greenback.
The inter-bank exchange rate stood at Tk89.90 per dollar on Thursday, up from Tk89 on Wednesday.

Besides, the exchange rate for settling import payment stands at Tk 91.95 per US dollar, said a high officials of the central bank.
The Bangladesh Bank on Thursday injected $135 million into the banking sector to stable the forex market.
