In anticipation of the upcoming birthday of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, director and poet Jakir Hossain Raju has launched a special collection of poems titled 'Hasina Kabya.'
These poems draw inspiration from various moments in Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's remarkable life.
Raju dedicated the book not only to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina but also to Bangladesh's founding father, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The launch of 'Hasina Kabya' took place at the BFDC VIP Projection Hall in Dhaka on Monday where
Awami League's Presidium Member Shajahan Khan, Prime Minister's Deputy Press Secretary KM Sakhawat Moon, renowned filmmaker Kazi Hayat, and several others, were present.
Sakhawat Moon praised Raju's contributions to the film industry and emphasised his profound sense of responsibility towards the nation, society, and the aspirations of the people.
He described 'Hasina Kabya' as a unique revelation, capturing real-life incidents of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina that transcend the realm of acting.
Furthermore, actor Symon Sadik, who owes his entry into the tinsel town to Raju, graced the event as a special guest. Due to unforeseen traffic congestion, some guests arrived slightly later, causing a brief delay in the main event.
Sakhawat expressed, "Raju holds an admirable position in the film industry. He creates films infused with a deep sense of responsibility towards the country, society, and national sentiments. However, this time, I witnessed a different facet of him. In 'Hasina Kabya,' he has captured an expression of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina that is not mere acting but a reflection of reality. I extend my heartfelt best wishes for the success of 'Hasina Kabya.'"
