Covid: Daily positivity rate at 14.07%

Bangladesh reported 665 fresh cases in the last 24 hours till Wednesday morning, while the daily positivity rate was 14.07 per cent.

After adding the new cases, the total caseload rose to 2,023,810, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The country did not register any more Covid-related deaths, keeping the number of total fatalities 29,360.

Meanwhile, 428 recovered from the deadly infection, and that pushes the tally to 1,964,147. 

The daily case test positivity rate fell from Tuesday’s 15.42 per cent as 4,728 samples were tested at 881 laboratories.

Bangladesh registered its highest daily caseload of 16,230 on July 28 last year and daily fatalities of 264 on August 10 the same year.
