Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police arrested Additional Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of police Mashiur Rahman from the city’s airport area on Thursday night.
“We arrested Mashiur Rahman in connection with a case filed with New Market Police Station on Thursday night,” Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Md Talebur Rahman confirmed this matter on Friday.
Mashiur served for a long time in DB of DMP. He was transferred from DB of Gulshan division to Lalbagh division. He was also promoted to Additional DIG.
