A fire gutted a carton manufacturing factory at Matuail in Dhaka’s Jatrabari in the early hours of Friday.
The fire erupted at the tin-shed Al Madina Printing and Packaging factory due to a short circuit, said the media cell of Fire Service and Civil Defence.
Firefighters were altered to the incident at 3:17am and five units rushed to the spot, it said.
They put out the fire around 6:10am.

No casualty was reported in the incident.
The extent of damage caused by the fire was estimated around Tk 5 lakh, the media cell added.
