Rajshahi division tops in divorce rate, lowest in Barishal

Rajshahi division has topped in terms of divorce rate in the country, according to the Population and Housing Census 2022.

The divorce rate in the Rajshahi division is 61 per cent. On contrary in Barishal, the rate is 29.

The overall divorce rate in the country is 42 per cent.

The divorce rate in Chattogram is 30 per cent, 40 per cent in Dhaka, 55 per cent in Khulna, 40 per cent in Mymensingh, 38 per cent in Rangpur and 43 per cent in Sylhet.
